Brian was born with a life-threatening, rare heart disease (Tricuspid Atresia, Transposition of the Great Artery, and Coarctation to the Aorta). Now in ENGLISH: Brian had only two chambers (normal heart has four), his heart was basically upside down, switched around, and he had a narrowing to his aorta.

Doctors gave him a very slim chance of making it to his first birthday. But today, thanks to God’s miraculous healing power, at nearly 18, Brian is alive!

Brian lived for 11 years without any surgeries and stayed very healthy!

However, in October 2001 he underwent another major open-heart surgery (his 4th) and nearly died. He suffered a slight stroke, went into Super Ventricular Tachycardia 5 times (his heart rate was over 200 beats per minute), and went into Atrial Flutter (which causes the Atria--the top part of the heart) to beat double or triple what the ventricle (lower part of the heart) is. And during the summer of 2002, Brian nearly drowned twice when he suffered a bout with bradycardia (his heart only beating 30 beats per minute). But God has prevailed once again and brought him through every obstacle!

Truly, Brian's faith has healed him, again and again!

At 15, Brian sustained more problems and needed a fifth open-heart surgery. This time, anything that could go wrong did. His surgery took twelve hours, and then his heart went into abnormal rhythm patterns, and when they tried to take the breathing tube out almost a week later, Brian couldn't breathe on his own...
