Ethel's Testimony

God saved me in January of 1976, I was called to preach the gospel of Jesus and I did that for many years after I married and had 3 children. I was ordained as an Evangelist, But I backslid from the Lord. And the Lord still in His GREAT MERCY chose to heal me!

I've been healed of Breast Cancer at age 24, a brain aneurysm at age 29, delivered from the Penitentiary at the age of 17, tried to commit suicide 2 different times, the gun kept clicking and wouldn't fire the first time (it was fully loaded), then I took two bottles of different pills, laid down, but someone came home about 5 hours early and found me about an hour later. Then I was delivered of a 6 year crack cocaine habit at age 41, given a measure of strength and grace to bury a grandson in June of 2001 on his birthday, and another grandson in March of this year after his oxygen machine exploded at home when he was 3 1/2 months old.

I found out in January of this year that I have Aids, as a result of my promiscuous lifestyle when I was on drugs! , but you know what???  I truly believe with all that is within me, that God will heal my body.

Paul told the church at Rome in chapter 8 and verse 24: Hope that is seen is not hope, for what we hope for, then do we with patience wait for it".

 

God is my strength, a very present help in the time of trouble. It is in Him that I live move and have my being. The doctor's are saying I have 3-5 years to live, based on the level of the virus in my system. I believe I will live and declare the glory of God for as long as He wants me to declare it, and I don't believe this sickness is unto death, but that God may get His glory. I'm not bitter, I'm saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, praising my Savior, for He has done great things!!

 

I believe my testimonies of my life would be an inspiration and an encouragement to many people young and old. Does your ministry have space on your website or possibly a suggestion of how I can send my testimonies to far reaching places so others can read about what God CAN and has done?

 

I thank God for what He has done for you and your husband and the ministry he has given you. It will be a true blessing for this land. To all who will hear, to as many as the Lord our God shall call. "If my people who are called by MY name will humble themselves...."He is ready to heal the land.
