August 2006 Take A Bite Out Of Abuse New Program Introduction Just Wrote These Articles Stories--Look for them in the near Future: Journey of Hope, Leader of the Pack, Champion For Jesus, Hot Shop, Movie Maker, One Man Band, Music Man New Program-Coming This Fall ~Take A Bite Out of Abuse~ This summer Lisa is creating a new program "Take A Bite Out of Abuse," using her pooch Snickers. She hopes to launch this program early this fall. "Since kids can easily relate to dogs, I knew Snickers was the dog for the job. Especially when they find out he (Snickers) was abused too. And he's so gentle, loving, good natured and he's even travel size!" Snickers story, "A New Home," was published in the Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, September 2005. Lisa plans to take this message of abuse prevention to schools, churches and organizations all over the United States. Although each presentation will be a little different to fit each audience/age, she hopes to bring more awareness and safety to kids of all ages, as well as their parents. "Dating abuse and bullying have become such a huge problem," Lisa says, "and since I was abused too. I want to offer comfort, help, and support to everyone involved." |
