WHAT'S NEW May/June 2007 -Lisa & the Take A Bite Out of Abuse team met with Thomas Haskell, Principal at Buena Vista High School, Saginaw, MI on June 20th to discuss speaking to next year's students--He gave them the thumbs up and put them on the fall calendar for September 18th they will do a Full School Assembly! -Snickers & Lisa Met With Carman Ainsworth High School Principal, Mr. Tunnicliff on May 25-- After sharing their anti-bullying/abuse presentation with the principal, he gave them the thumbs up for next fall! YES! And he's going to present the program at the monthly principals meeting. (Time & Date TBA) -Lisa spoke on Dating Violence, Bullying, & Abuse @ Durand Church of God on May 12th for their annual Mother's Day Luncheon. At the end of the speech, it was quite a comedy act as Snickers performed several tricks (Backwards) while Lisa shared statistics and how to stay safe in an abusive situation. Pictures coming soon -Lisa has been given her own new column "Abuse Bites" on www.embracingtherain.com a new monthly magazine to help people grow in their walk with God. *Her article for May is titled "Dating Violence--It Stops Here", May 2007 *Her article for June is titled "REVERSE THE CURSE" , June 2007 -Lisa & Snickers have been doing a ton of fundraisers lately to help fund their upcoming picture book series "The Abuse Bites Snickers Picture Book Series" to bring awareness to children and hopefully prevent abuse articles on various fundraisers & projects coming soon
